This pleasant beach hostel is located in the tourist centre, close to the kilometre-long, fine sand beach and the junction to Arenal. An array of shops, pubs, bars and nightclubs as well as restaurants and public transport links are located in the hostel's immediate vicinity. The hostel was built in 1965 and renovated in 2001. It comprises a total of 29 guestrooms spread over 4 floors, of which 3 are single rooms and 26 are doubles. At the Hotel Monaco (30 m away) guests are offered a 24-hour reception, a bar, a TV room, Internet access as well as breakfast. The unostentatious rooms include an en suite bathroom. Some also come with a balcony. For an additional fee guests may use the hostel's own snooker table.
