Hotel Peninsular is definitely a hotel with history. It used to be an old monastery and now converted into a family run hotel preserving an amazing ancient patio garden and many other features. Rooms are medium in size and simply furnished with tiled preserved floors and small bathrooms. A very nice cafeteria which can be found on the ground floor serving continental breakfast in the morning. Hotel is ideal those on a budget wanting to be in the heart of Barcelona.
